Pay Range: $45,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and complexity of the project.

Job Description: We are assembling a talented and dedicated animated film production crew for an exciting new project. If you have a passion for animation and a desire to bring stories to life through visual storytelling, we want to hear from you. Join us in creating unforgettable characters and immersive worlds that inspire and entertain audiences of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance the visual quality and consistency of the film through color grading and correction.

• Collaborate with the director and cinematographer to achieve the desired look and feel.

• Meet deadlines and deliver high quality color grading within the production schedule.

• Adjust color, contrast, and saturation to enhance mood and atmosphere.

• Ensure consistency in color grading across all scenes and shots.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Effects, Animation, or a related field.

• Proficiency in color grading software such as Davinci Resolve, and Adobe Speed Grade, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and techniques for digital coloring.

• Understanding of color theory including knowledge of color relationships, harmonies, and psychology; the ability to use color effectively to convey mood, emotion, and atmosphere in the animation.

• Creative and innovative, the ability to experiment with different color schemes and effects to achieve the desired aesthetic.

• The ability to communicate effectively with directors and other members of the animation team to understand their color preferences, then take the directions and feedback and incorporate it into coloring.

• Colorists with the combined technical expertise, color theory knowledge, creativity, collaboration abilities, communication skills, attention to detail and time management to create visually stunning color schemes.
